The compounded elastomers are:
∎ Styrol Butadiene Rubber (SBR)
∎ Chloroprene (Neoprene) Rubber
∎ Nitrile Butadine Rubber ( NBR)
∎ Ethylene Propylene Rubber ( EPDM)
∎ Silicon Rubber ( VMQ, LSR Etc.,)
∎ Fluorocarbon (FKM)
∎ Fluro silicone (FVMQ)
∎ Per fluorinated Rubber (FFKM)

Description:

Elastomeric Seals the term that explains itself as materials made of elasticized compounds which can be formed to any shape in a plasticized condition and subsequently cured to form a desired shape and returns to original shape if deformed by applying a force.

There are various types of elastomeric Materials. Thanks to the R&D in rubber technology various materials suiting to different applications are now made available.

By making certain changes in formulations a most suitable compound can be developed. Certain Fabric reinforcements will enhance the rigidity and strength of these materials for severity of application.

The Rubber materials exhibit extraordinary characteristics by compounding. These materials have superior deformation capabilities when subjected to compression or stretching. This property is called as elasticity which is the prime property of rubbers. Apart from the above the rubbers have specific qualities like mechanical properties, electrical and insulating characteristics together with low permeability to water steam and gasses. It also has excellent bonding capabilities to metals to tandem seals.

Due to the versatility of applications the compounds can be made to comply with qualities of ASTM, DIN, SAE, FDA, KTW and other standards Etc.

Seals thus manufactured for purposes are known as:

∎ Rings ∎ Oil Seals ∎ V Rings ∎ Rotary Shaft Seals ∎ Hydraulic seals ∎ Bellows
∎ D-Rings ∎ Diaphragms ∎ Discs ∎ Lip Seals ∎ Washers ∎ Wipers Etc.
